Please join the KINDLING GROUP and partner WTTW11 for a special reception and sneak peek of The Calling, a groundbreaking PBS documentary and community engagement campaign that follows the stories of Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, and Muslim Americans who are training for religious leadership. It takes viewers into the unknown world of seminaries to reveal the real people “behind the robes” and to tell entertaining and compelling personal stories of how faith is lived today.  The evening will begin with a dessert reception, followed by a screening and an panel discussion with all of The Calling’s seven subjects, who will be together for the very first time.

The event is hosted by the Art Institute of Chicago in conjunction with their groundbreaking installation of Jitish Kallat's Public Notice 3—a trenchant commentary on the evolution, or devolution, of religious tolerance across the 20th and 21st centuries—the event takes place on December 9, 2010, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.Guests must use the museum's Michigan Avenue entrance (111 S. Michigan Avenue) and check any items at that entrance's checkroom. Space is limited and admission is complimentary. Please RSVP to rsvp@kindlinggroup.org .
