Our Holiday Picks!
12.23.16

It is officially winter, Christmas and Hanukkah are around the corner, and we here at Kindling Group can’t wait to spend time with family, friends and our holiday season favorites!

Danny Alpert

Favorite movie: It's A Wonderful Life. Watched it 10,000 times and still cry every time and hope to take my kids to see it on the big screen on X-mas day.

If I had to pick a Christmas song it would be the Sex Pistols Jingle Bells: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDU4Z_BBkTA

My favorite holiday song is Someday At Christmas by Stevie Wonder, and my favorite holiday movie is A Diva's Christmas Carol w/ Vanessa Williams. It’s VH1 Divas Live meets A Christmas Carol. It’s super goofy but whenever it comes on I watch it to the very end. Vanessa Williams slays it as Ebony (Ebenezer, get it?), a cold diva who turns her life around after a visit from three Christmas spirits.

My favorite part of the holidays is embarrassing Adelaide (my dog) with the Christmas costumes to which I've subjected her.

I am also a huge, HUGE fan of the John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together album, which is on repeat whenever it's Christmastime. It was also the first album I purchased on vinyl, fun fact!

I love Meet Me in St. Louis, which has a big Christmas party scene that makes it feel festive.

I went to Puerto Rico with my husband around holiday time last year, and discovered a delicious holiday island cocktail - The Painkiller - which includes a sprinkling of nutmeg!

And finally, one of my favorite xmas songs is John Lennon's Happy Christmas

Producer Kristin Pichaske also likes to get her dog Fu in the holiday spirit with costumes.

And drumroll please: Our all-around favorite holiday movie: Elf!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa and a very Happy New Year!
