@home Celebrates Its Broadcast Premiere!

On December 17 Kindling Group celebrated a momentous milestone: the broadcast premiere of '@home' on Chicago's WTTW Channel 11. Mark Horvath, the e-activist featured in the film and founder of Invisible People, flew in for the event and joined forces with blogger Liz Strauss, along with the Kindling Group production team, to live-tweet the broadcast from viewing parties in Chicago.

It’s a wonderful feeling to share this beautiful film with friends and family throughout Chicagoland, and to use this story to raise awareness about those who are in need during the holidays. @home amplifies the power of Mark Horvath’s work and explores how social media and digital advocacy can challenge stereotypes and catalyze change for this issue, so often misunderstood and ignored.

Serving audiences of over 300,000 each year, Facets excels in preserving, presenting, distributing and educating about film. Roger Ebert once referred to them as a “temple of great media” and a “giant in the rarified world of art-house films and cultural education.”
 

Kindling Group wins media grant for the Illinois Smart Grid Campaign

An Incredible Chicago Premiere for @home

The journey of bringing our film @home to communities across the country hit one of its peaks this past Monday as we premiered the film to a packed house in our hometown of Chicago. The Chicago premiere was a celebration of the last four years during which Susanne and her team worked on this compelling film, and offered a special opportunity to give thanks to Mark Horvath as well as all of the other men and women who shared their stories and made this film what it is today.

Kindling Group and See3 Communications invite you to celebrate with us on Monday, June 9th as @home makes its Chicago premiere at the beautiful Museum of Contemporary Art in the heart of downtown Chicago. This week, we were invited to present @home at the Housing First Partners Conference in our hometown of Chicago. The conference is a foundational, national forum and dialogue for housing, health and mental health service providers, as well as federal, state and local government officials, researchers, advocates, trainers, peers and thought leaders engaged in ending homelessness through Housing First.
